- FARM-FRESH SESAME SEEDS: Our farm-fresh sesame seeds are proudly grown in India. We traverse hundreds of kilometers and source our sesame seeds directly from the farmers of Erode and Hosur region, Tamil Nadu. We then let the seeds sun-dry for a few days to ensure better taste and aroma before pressing them to obtain black sesame oil.
- WOOD PRESSED OIL: Our Wood Pressed Black Oil is 100% pure, vegan, preservative-free, chemical-free, & gluten-free. We press the sesame seeds in wooden Kolhus at a low temperature. We use cold-press technology to ensure that the nutrients remain intact. Then, we let the oil sit for sedimentation for 2-3 days. Following this, we sieve to filter the black sesame oil.
- SESAME OIL NUTRITION: Our cold-pressed black sesame oil retains all naturally occurring nutrients. It contains antioxidants sesamol and sesamin, which aid in the oil\’s oxidative stability. It has an amino acid called tyrosine, which boosts serotonin. It has powerful antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, it is heart-healthy and contains vitamin E, phytosterols, and lignans that help fight free radicals.
